Peek into the lives of nocturnal animals, witness animals that glow in the dark
and observe changes in shark behavior from day to night!
Throughout the year, Maui Ocean Center offers scheduled public sleepovers for
children in grades 3 - 8. Sleepovers are also available for organized
groups such as: schools, Girl Scout Troops, birthday parties or any other
groups for 15 to 30 participants!
Come sleep right alongside the sharks! Schools and private groups will have the aquarium to themselves along with three Ocean Naturalists for the night, providing a very fun, educational and hands-on experience.
The evening's activities include an exciting variety of interactive discovery lessons and learning stations. Touch shark skin, teeth, and even live sea creatures! Discover how animals make their own light, the “tooth” about sharks, and all about the spineless wonders of the ocean. Enjoy a supervised feeding of green sea turtles, fun ocean crafts, an ocean-themed movie and much more!
Note: As a teacher, you also have the option of modifying the sleepover topics to coincide with your lesson plans. We can focus on any marine topic you would like.
The sleepover is $60 plus tax per participant.
Reservations are required and based on availability.
Discounts are given to groups and Maui Ocean Center Members.
