Event: Sea of Love
Description: Spend a romantic evening surrounded by the beauty of Hawaii’s sea life at Maui’s most unique Valentine’s dinner. Experience the Aquarium after dark with semi-private seating in the stunning Living Reef Exhibit and ocean view Seascape Ma‘alaea Restaurant and a delectable four-course menu prepared by James Beard Nominee Chef Henry Tariga and catered by the award-winning Seascape Ma‘alaea Restaurant for $99 plus gratuity and tax per person. Event: Harbor Plaza Whale Watching
Description: The Harbor Plaza at the Maui Ocean Center overlooks Ma‘alaea Bay, making it the perfect place to watch for Humpback whales! See if you can spot the fantastic acrobatic feats of the Humpbacks. Throughout whale season, beginning January and continuing through March, volunteers from the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary will be at Harbor Plaza every Monday from 9am-1pm to help guests with spotting whales and interpreting different whale behaviors.

Event: Fins and Flippers Tour
Description: Learn fascinating facts about hammerhead sharks and green sea turtles on the exclusive Fins and Flippers tour. Led by a trained Ocean Naturalist, this interactive tour includes a sneak peek behind-the-scenes at Maui Ocean Center and the chance to participate in supervised feeds at the Turtle Lagoon and Hammerhead Harbor exhibits. Tours are offered once a day at 11:30am on Tuesdays. Cost is $10 per person plus admission. Reservations are recommended by calling (808) 270-7088.

Event: Wet Naturalist Presentations
Description: Guests can learn interesting facts about Hawaii’s marine invertebrates, and even get the chance to touch and hold them, during hands-on presentations with a wet naturalist at the Discovery Pool. Invertebrates are animals without a backbone and include sea stars, sea cucumbers and urchins. Presentations are offered on Thursdays and Fridays from 11:30am-1:30pm.

Event: Turtle-rrific Thursday
Description: Enjoy up close and personal encounters with green sea turtles at Turtle Lagoon beginning at 2pm. Interact with the Aquarium’s curatorial team and learn fascinating facts about the biology, behavior and diet of green sea turtles. This activity is included with aquarium admission.

Event: Hangin’ with Honu
Description: Discover the fascinating story behind the green sea turtles at Maui Ocean Center. Join a special guest speaker at Turtle Lagoon from 11am-2pm and enjoy casual talks about turtles and an up close encounter with a Hawaiian green sea turtle. Along with interesting turtle facts, guests will learn about the Aquarium’s involvement in the green sea turtle educational loan program. This activity is included with aquarium admission.

Event: Children’s Story & Craft Hour
Description: Children ages 3-12 are invited to enjoy story and craft hour every Saturday at 11:30am in the Hawaiians & the Sea Exhibit. An Ocean Naturalist will read children an intriguing Hawaiian story to be followed by a fun marine-themed craft.

Event: Children’s Ocean Crafts
Description: Children ages 3-12 are invited to make fun ocean-themed crafts in the Marine Mammal Discovery Center on February 5, 12, 15, 19, 23 and 28. The craft booth is hosted by the Aquarium’s naturalists and volunteers and available from 11am-2pm on the selected dates.
