Name a Sea Turtle Contest

Congratulations to the winners of the Name a Sea Turtle Contest! This contest was held to select names for the newest batch of green sea turtles to be exhibited at Maui Ocean Center. Along with recognition on Maui Ocean Center’s website, the winners will each receive 2 One-Day Journey Passes and a behind-the-scenes Sea Turtle Encounter.

The new turtles were hatched on June 24, 2012 at Sea Life Park Hawaii on Oahu, and arrived at the Maui Ocean Center on August 16, 2012. The turtles are housed at the Aquarium as part of an ongoing hatch-and-release program to educate the public on Hawaiian green sea turtles.
